âYes, thank you for your help.â I hung up the phone and slid it into my pocket with a frustrated sigh.
âEverything okay?â I turned to see Landon walking out of the bathroom, a swirl of steam following him out from his shower. He wasnât looking at me as he absently ran a towel through his thick chestnut hair so I took a moment to admire him. Water dripped down his neck, through the soft hairs covering his pecs, and trailed over his abs before pooling in the towel that hung low on his hips.
âMicah?â I heard a deep chuckle and glanced up to find Landon watching me, a sexy smirk playing on his lips.
âIâd apologize, but Iâm not sorry for ogling you. Youâre a gorgeous man, Landon.â I stepped closer to him and placed my hands on his hips. He wore a pleased smile as I leaned in for a kiss. His arms came up to wrap around my neck as we deepened the kiss and my cock began to swell as I swallowed his soft moans.
âI want you,â I told him as my fingers worked to untie the towel, letting it drop to the floor.
âTake me,â he whispered as I bent down to lick one nipple. It peaked under my ministrations and I sucked it into my mouth, making him buck against me. He tasted clean, fresh, and manly and I couldnât get enough. I wanted to explore every single inch of him, taking the time to find each one of his pleasure zones. Unfortunately, we didnât have time for all of that because we had a flight to catch.
âThis will have to be quick, baby.â I licked my way up the side of his neck as he rutted against me.
âQuick is good,â he said and I could hear the urgency in his voice. He wanted me as much as I wanted him.
The night before had been amazing. Landon had given himself to me beautifully; following my instructions and showing incredible restraint as I pushed him further and further to the edge. Then there was the moment when he was still on the cusp of unconsciousness when he had whispered, My Micah and my heart nearly stopped.
I had always been somewhat of a lone wolf. Growing up, I had to look out for myself because my father certainly wasnât going to do it. Then right after graduation, I enlisted with the navy where even though I had brothers watching my back, I was still ultimately responsible for my own safety.
Of course I had Giovanni, but I was never going to be the number one person in his life. Caleb and Sarah were, which was exactly as it should be. Lying there with Landon though and hearing his words, was the first time I had ever felt like I truly belonged to another person and I clung to that, desperately wanting it to be true.
However, in the harsh light of day I realized that it had most likely been the endorphins making him say that.
